Runtime & rendering

AERIF Engine

An early modular native runtime and developer toolchain.

The workspace

Built around a clear job.

A small Rust kernel with a language-neutral module boundary and separate platform and render providers. Current work proves the native foundation and its lifecycle before building higher-level engine features.

Experimental

Small kernel

Keep lifecycle and module boundaries separate from rendering implementation.

Experimental

Provider boundaries & headless operation

SDL3 and wgpu/Vulkan providers demonstrate the boundary. A separate provider-free kernel and headless/null-provider path are verified.

Planned

Engine features

Scenes, assets, materials, physics, and an editor remain future work.

Local

Experimental

Native Windows development proof with SDL3 and wgpu providers.

API / endpoint

Not implemented

No model or service API execution is implemented.

Future Cloud

Planned

AERIF Cloud is a separate future proprietary/private hosted service. No service is available today.

Local Light

Experimental

Small native rendering foundation; not an AI model workload.

Custom

Planned

Further module/provider implementations are future work.

AERIF Cloud

Planned

AERIF Cloud is a separate future proprietary/private hosted service. No service is available today.

Provider boundaries

SDL3 / wgpuExperimental

Current Windows platform/render proof; not an ecosystem-wide dependency.

Platform evidence

A portable design is not a tested release.

Windows

Experimental

Windows x64 development proof. Other platform providers remain unverified.

x64

Linux

Planned

A future platform direction; no verified release.

macOS

Planned

A future platform direction; Apple Silicon support is not verified.

Hardware requirements and public downloads are listed only when independently verified. No universal RAM, VRAM or GPU guarantee is implied.

Public availability

No public download or source link has been independently verified for this entry. Current screenshots and development checks are not distribution evidence.
